My understanding of the teaching
University teaching has been an important part of my work since 2012. It gives me great pleasure to teach students and awaken their interest in legal issues. The feedback from my students is a significant incentive for me.
In its complexity and despite its prominent position, our legal system is only one model for making the world explainable and controllable. I see it as my task as a lecturer to convey the understanding of this model.
This is what I am for my students: A committed lecturer, who always tries to explain the often complex legal problems with examples from his own practice and who has not yet forgotten the challenges of studying.
My teaching assignments
In Hamburg at Brand Academy, University of Design and Communication, I teach business law in the bachelor’s degree course in brand management. This includes civil and corporate law with the aim of providing my students with a practice-oriented overview.
In addition, I teach the subjects of international law and ethics in business life in the English language in the Master’s programme.
In Hannover, at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Lower Saxony, I teach the subjects constitutional law, European law and civil law in the bachelor’s programme.
The course of studies is mainly aimed at future specialists and managers in local government. The subjects I teach attempt to create a basic understanding of our constitutional state within a united Europe.
